Frequently asked questions
Quick answers on reverse logistics, inspection, restocking and Amazon removal order handling.
How do you handle returns and reverse logistics?
When a customer returns an item, they send it directly to our Milton Keynes warehouse. Our returns team receives and logs each parcel, inspects the item for condition (sellable, damaged, or unsellable), and updates your inventory in Mintsoft within 24 hours of receipt. You receive a real-time notification and can view full returns reports through your Mintsoft portal. You decide how each return is handled — restock, repackage, quarantine, or dispose.
How long does returns processing take?
Returns are received, inspected, and inventory-updated within 24 hours of arrival at our warehouse. If an item is in sellable condition, it is restocked and made live on your sales channels the same day. Damaged or unclear items are quarantined and you'll be notified within 24 hours to decide on next steps.
Can you inspect and restock returned items?
Yes — inspection and restocking is a standard part of our returns service. When a return arrives, our team opens and inspects the item, assesses its condition against your criteria (e.g., resellable, defective, missing parts), and either returns it to live stock or routes it to quarantine for your review. We can also repackage items into new packaging if required before restocking.
What happens to items that are damaged or unsellable?
Damaged or unsellable returns are placed into a quarantine area and flagged in your Mintsoft portal. You then decide how to handle them: dispose of at our facility, return to you in bulk, donate, or arrange rework/repackaging if the item can be recovered. We never dispose of stock without your explicit instruction.
Can you handle Amazon FBA removal order returns?
Yes — we regularly process Amazon FBA removal orders for clients. When Amazon sends a removal order, units are delivered to our warehouse, received and counted, inspected, and then either restocked for SFP fulfilment or held in storage per your instructions. This makes it easy to redirect slow-moving or stranded FBA inventory into our SFP or multi-channel fulfilment operation.
